70 Challenger Rear Valance Education Needed

Please indicate if all 70 Challenger rear valance panels had a welded-on V-shaped license plate mounting bracket.  Attached is a pic of the V-shaped bracket I've seen.

Absolutely not!  I cringe every time I see a restored 70-71 Challenger listed for sale that incorrectly has that piece.  :stop:

It was only used in 73-74 , the bumper was moved away from the body to allow for the 5 mph bumpers & the licence plate light was on the bumper so that mover the plate back closer to the light .
Almost every repro panel has it on it tho.

RUNCHARGER

No 70,1 or 2 had that bracket. Chrysler subbed those valances over the counter though when they updated the factory installed ones for the 73-4 cars. I bought a valance over the counter in 79 and I had to chisel that bracket off.

I have a new valance with that bracket on if anyone is looking for one. I wasn't putting that on my 70 either.

It is not hard to remove the bracket , then it is the same part
