AAR CUDA HOOD PAINT

Just finished painting the hood on a pink AAR we are restoring here at "my" shop for a customer.  I have original lacquer organisol that I refuse to use because it's virtually impossible to keep clean, like Cody, I mix my own formula for this paint.  Ours is single stage urethane with mini flake and texture added, we don't have to spray it from 10 feet away and it's super user friendly for cleaning.  It's easy to spray and we have no issues with "tiger stripes".  NO I don't sell paint.

Ok, here you go, this is our secret formula: 

Most armature restorers and enthusiast will use the "Hot Rod Black" alone because it's much easier to do, your true professional, will step up the game and get it as close to original as possible.  Nothing against the hobbyist, however, when you're charging a customer a pile of money for your talent, it better be as close to original and indistinguishable from original as possible.

1 gallon of urethane Hot Rod Black
1.5 oz "House of Color" ultra mini flake
1/4 bottle PPG DX1999 texture.

That's our secret here at "my" shop.
