I just bought a 70-71 Challenger front license plate bracket and I'm wondering how it's installed.

Anyone got closeup pics of the front bracket installed?

Thanks.

Pretty straight forward. The valance gets two clip nuts on the top side, the bracket sits on top with the bolts going down into the clip nuts. The two bottom bolt holes have to be drilled and get nuts on the inside...

OK, Any pics of the top clip nuts, they didn't come with the bracket.

Just a regular 1/4-20 clip nut, I suppose you could use nuts & bolts  :dunno:

OK thanks.

So there should be 4 holes total in the front valance, I know there are 2 holes currently drilled in the valance where the lower bolts should go, I'll have to check for the upper holes and hope they all line up to the bracket.

I just mounted mine with nuts and bolts on the upper and placed rubber adhesive discs on the lower license plate bracket against the valance so I wouldn't have to drill additional holes. Only the upper two bolts hold it on and it's tight with no vibration.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm 99% sure the valance has the lower holes already drilled, hopefully in the correct location.
