Looking for some help on interior colors. I am painting my dash frame on my 70 challenger. I used the Herbs rattle can that seems like a good match and decent product . But is a little on the  thin coverage side for me.What I mean id like to know there is a good film of paint to take future cleaning or what not.I would just like to get a single stage mixed up the old 1970 Ditlzer book I looked at stated Sunfire Orange Poly on the interior. Does that sound right? I always thought poly meant metal flake why would that be on the interior? Thanks

Really Im getting close to just saying f--- I- and spraying the dash frame the exterior color which I have plenty of and put a semi flat clear on it.

I had mine powder coated, they found a color that I think was pretty darn close with a flatness to it. Just another thought to toss out

The only thing flat earthers fear, is sphere itself.

I also thought poly meant metallic and I found this on the web - "
Originally, "poly" was short for "polychromatic" - the first term for what we now call "metallic" paint. Metallic or "poly" finishes were available in the 30s." Not sure why interior colors were called poly unless they actually have metallic in them?

I had my dash frame powder coated as well, in a textured black that I believe matches the 70-only suede finish very well. There were like 5 different textured black powders to choose from, perhaps you could do the same with burnt orange. Prismatic Powders is the line that my powder coater uses, they can send you samples.

My brother ordered single stage Bayou Green via the link above for his 70 and I believe the results also came out great, I think that would be the best way to go out of any of the paints available.

I appreciate everyone's input. It helps ease my mind a bit and quit overly obsessing on every detail.
