These are two, well weathered chrome drivers side sport mirrors that came with my 70 RT project. Both have seen better days. Both are hole patterned the same and match driver door pattern. Car build date is 11/4/69 and it was optioned with drivers side remote sport mirror only. I have two questions...
1.) look at the base. One has a shorter flange.  Which is correct?
2.) is there a good source to re-chrome?   :notsure:

If neither is the original, perhaps I'd be better off buying a repop.

The shorter base is correct for 1970. I would throw it in the garbage and buy a new reproduction one. :alan2cents:

the narrow base is '70 (wide base is '71 & wide screw pattern is '72-'74)

unless you have an "IN" with a chrome shop - the reproduction mirror will cost "less"

:alan2cents:  used chrome mirrors are best ground down, pits filled, finished & painted

We knew the day would come when quality reproduction parts would be past off as NOS. Years ago I put NOS signal light lenses on my Barrelcuda....someone on Mofarts wanted to buy the empty boxes ???
