:soshelp: I am looking at a grill for a 71 Barracuda/Cuda. It is a re-pop and the ends looks like they are distorted. Below is a picture of one of the ends. It looks like the lower curve on the end is not quite right. Take a look and let me know what you think. thanks

Are you thinking right above where the box top edge is?  Looks like a dimple of some sort on this little screen.

Still new to all this computer stuff and not sure how to draw a circle around the area of concern, but the curve that is seen at the seam of the box is the curve that has me wondering.

@71GranCoupe   Looks like it might be off a bit.     Here's a photo of an original 71 grille.

Thanks Cody, that is what I was thinking. Away from home makes it tough at times working off memory. I have/had a chance to get a new grill I found, but it looks to be a second. I have a really nice original, and should just use it.

Looks like it might be going back to the seller???

Dang: It looks like once you touch it, it could be all over but the crying.

See if the guy who sold it to you will part with it for a cheap price as a flawed part and then get out your heat gun and with a CAREFUL application of heat, move that dent on out and your "new" grille should be fine. It was probably dropped on it's end, but being basically a big car model part, you should be able to iron that out easily. Sitting it in the car would give you the opportunity to carefully match the desired contours, too.

Definitely damaged, but might be an easy fix if the price is right. :alan2cents:

Thanks for all the help on this. I did not buy it, was really considering it, but the curved end(s) created enough concern to ask questions. I have a really nice original that has 2 small cracks between the headlights and will probably go back to plan A. The price is really good but with having to rework it, just makes it questionable.
