Where are we able to get the gasket that goes between the glass and the window guide and support? I took a photo of what is left of mine still on the bracket. Also, what are restorers using as the spacers around the screws that go through the holes in the glass? The gasket and the spacers are shown on the page in the FSM. Thanks.

There was also some fiber(gasket material?) washers used between the glass and hardware. I went to the local box hardware store and picked up some plastic and rubber washers and used them to replace the original washers. It would be nice if there was a kit available with more modern materials that wouldn't deteriorate to protect the glass from the metal parts.

You would probably have to cut your own gaskets...a roll of material should be available at a local auto parts store. the "spacers" around the screws is just rubber hose. I use rad overflow hose.

Wouldn't they both be the same ?

They look the same for both sides. I was just thinking there must be a better material to make the gaskets/washers out of like sheet UHMW or sheet Teflon that would hold up better and offer the same protection for the glass. I had a spare gasket when I replaced by shattered window and managed to use rubber, nylon, etc to replace parts. A kit with better materials should be available. Thanks for the responses. I have gasket material to make new ones.

Here is the rubber bushing that goes on the bolts that goes thru the glass to prevent chipping, breaking .I got these at R/T specialties.they have all kinds of restoration parts. They might have the glass gaskets.
