Door glass up stops 70 to 74 Cuda

Hi All, I am installing the regulators/door glass/brackets on a 1970 Cuda and find there are no door glass up stop holes with the factory nut and alignment tab that allows you to install the brackets. Did something change in later year production cars where this was eliminated or relocated? The doors are original Chrysler parts but I do not know what year car they came off of. It looks like I can drill the holes and install a threaded insert but am curious if someone else has had this issue and what they did to resolve it. I don't think it matters but my car is a  Cuda convertible.Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site vinsar!  I don't recall any differences in the interior of the doors but maybe someone else has more experience with this question!

70-71 used up stops on the out side of the glass attach with an Allen head bolt, 72-74 used up stops on the inside of the glass attached with a 1/4-20 nut. You need to determine what year your doors are...

Thanks for the info, the doors that are on the car look to be later model  because like I stated in my original post there is no threaded hole and locator tab that would allow me to install the up stops.. That would tell me the doors are later model. I am installing the guts from earlier doors that have the threaded hole/tab/up stop.  Can I use the later type up stops with the earlier door guts and would you have a picture of what they look like and where they mount?

I do have some of those brackets in my pile of "stuff", I am still trying to locate an actual picture of them mounted on the door...

Post up some pictures of your door, should be fairly simple to figure out...there should be a slot somewhere

I took a good look at the doors on my car and also looked at the "parts" doors that I obtained all of the brackets/regulators/glass  etc..

The doors on my car are definitely the later 72 to 74 type, there are slots and holes where you would mount the "inboard" glass stop. They are pretty much located the same area as the 70-71 doors but like you said on the "inboard" side of the door versus "outboard" like the 70-71.  The only other question I have is the two plastic tits that are screwed on the glass that are there to hit the glass stops. They are now on the wrong side (Cause they came out of my 70-71 parts doors) but look like I can just remove and reverse them so they are on the same side as the "inboard" up stop locations? I can't figure out how to post a picture but can send some to your phone or email if you like. Thanks for all of your help!

Yes you're exactly correct, just flip those pins over to the other side of the glass, the holes are in the same location 70-74.
