So my fabricator sent over these pics, said it just looks off compared to before, any thoughts?  Seems ok to me based on this old photo

Said the 1/4s wouldn't line up with the deck filler in place so that had to go.  Door gaps look good and lining up with rockers.

Just curious what you all think of the 1/4 panel to tail panel alignment, look correct?  I can't remember now!

I don't think you can properly line the tail panel up with the quarters until the trunk floor is installed.  The quarter does stick out past the tail panel, but it looks a little much on yours.  Here is a picture of my 71 for reference.

avatar_ebodyproducts @ebodyproducts that's just it, the trunk floors are in, although with screws to mock up, and that was his response also, tail panel was not removed, so not sure how to proceed.

Going back to the original car, look at picture 065507 below - maybe the tail panel was replaced poorly at some point in its past life?

Anyone have a similar close up to my photos below of what they should look like?

I'm guessing it was changed before.  The offset should be about the thickness of a paint stick from your hardware store.  ...from my experience.

Mine looks closer to ebodyproduct's, about a paint stick out but of course factory tolerance was +/- 1/8" or more.
