So I have the hood and fenders all aligned.  The hood latch is all adjusted and closes very nicely.  The hood pins are not lining up real well.  I am trying to decide if I need to move the holes in the fenders or move the holes in the hood.  I think this may have been a hood without hood pins originally.  The previous owner had incorrect hood pin bezels on the car.  The holes do not look like they were punched by a press as they are not perfectly round.  I am leaning toward opening up / moving the hood holes.  Also, I am wondering if I should wait to do this until after the engine is in as I will likely remove the hood to put the engine in.
Thanks

:alan2cents: I wouldn't mess with the holes in the hood. The pin has quite a bit of adjustment. If you are out of adjustment with the pin, just enlarge/elongate the hole that the pin goes through. That is what I had to do.

I just took a small hammer and lightly tapped the installed pin to center it with the hole in the hood. Worked great!🔨

I had alignment issues with my pins as well.  I enlarged the holes for the hoods pins on the frame rather than mess with the hood.  You can use a slightly oversized washers at the base of the pin to cover any modifications.

Or put a pipe over the pin and bend it slightly to adjust .
