Hood swap… bodyman tips

I picked up a rallye hood from a friend. Great deal and the paint matches my car. Problem is trying to get it mounted properly. I DID NOT loosen or remove the hinges at all. I had help pulled out the bolts and put the new hood on the hinges. I can't seem to get the hood to sit far enough forward. Needs to come forward approximately 3/8" but it's completely out of adjustment on the passenger side only. Still have adjustment on the drivers side. Any tips here? TIA
