Swapping the good insides, into the broken line unpitted shell
Has anyone rebuilt one of these mirrors? It seems you have to take it apart to slip it through the hole, I see that you squeeze the spring down on the adjust lever and take out the cable with the anchor,
But at the anchor it Seems to be pressed/crimped in.
Do I have to pry this open am I doing this right? Any tips will be great thanks
It's Amazing what we can accomplish~

With just a little bit of hard work.

And a whole LOT of complaining!!... lol

I have tried to do this a couple times....sadly, unsuccessfully. As far as I can tell, if the cable is bad or needs to come off, the mirror needs to be replaced :/ I hope I am wrong and someone has advice on how to do this!

The three cables are swedged into the remote and very difficult to open up without breaking it.  I have new remotes I use to re-assemble mirrors, I just did a 69 Mustang mirror with a MOPAR style remote without a problem.
