I'm trying to locate the location of the rear seat belt anchor(s) in my '71 Cuda vert.    My understanding is that the belt seat belt bolt went  into a threaded hole on each side of the  in the neighborhood of where the inner wheelhouse meets the floor.   I have the rear seat out for better visibility, but I'm not seeing them.  If anyone has a picture or a diagram it would be greatly appreciated!

The outboards are located on a separate bracket, if there's a chance your car has had a lot of repair work in the common area, there could be the off chance that those brackets were not put back in place  :dunno:

It appears that both the brackets and the mounting holes are missing.    I believe that there are replacement brackets available.   I'm not sure how to do the anchors.   Just bolting to the floor does not seem adequate.

Close Up of where anchor is supposed to be.

It definitely appears someone hand formed a new piece of sheet metal to make a floor pan. Can you see the inboard anchor points near the tunnel from underneath the car? Was the new pan simply laid over the old pan?

As for the two center anchors, look under the car, they are a part of a large reinforcement bracket that goes all around the tunnel over the center of the rear axle...

AMD does sell the outer ones, not sure if hardtop and convertible are the same, but you can likely make them work.

I found this under the car in the area you pointed out.   Is this the seat bolt anchor?   The nut is there but it was not drilled through the floor.

I bought that pair through Roseville. Today was seat belt install day and guess what, the threads in my pair were 7/16 x 14, not the 7/16 x 20 that the bolts are. Hey Alan, I guess my expectation was too high on reproduction parts.  :haha: :haha: :haha: I did mange to run a 7/16 X 20 tap through it.
