Floppy Driver’s Side Remote Mirror Fix

I think I found a relatively easy fix for a floppy LH remote mirror and thought I'd share.  First pic shows how loose the spring steel 3-leg pivot is on the back of my mirror.  Other pics show the rubber fender washer I used to take up the slack.  I cut the washer to get it in place and did a little trimming to clear the cable anchors.  I used a few dabs of weatherstrip adhesive to secure the washer in place, although it probably isn't needed since there is a decent load on the rubber from the 3-leg.

Cool. I just put mine back together after painting the housing. Now I guess I should check it to see how floppy it is.
