72 Challenger

I have a few ongoing threads for my 72 challenger winter detailing projects.

Another one is to reinstall the splash shields. They are in great shape but not as black as they once used to be. I test fit them and they dont look up to snuff against the new paint.

How do you make them look new?

I have heard using a heat gun. I tried this on a broken one I had and found on the thinner parts it can quickly melt.

Some say ATF but that must leave oil residue

I'm thinking of dying them, is that correct?
Someday I will have a J0b.

I would get some black plastic paint and that would be the end of it . . .  :alan2cents:  wash them first!
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

I paint all of mine with a super light coat of flat black. :alan2cents:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....
