Trim refinishing

What are you doing about the trim on your cars such as the rocker mounding, top of doors and quarters and the tail panel trim. Not the stainless trim but all the other trim that's anodized or whatever it is. Is it better to replace or restore? ( And who restores) Does any repo stuff fit? Years ago I bought the top door trim for my Cuda and I don't know if it's the clips or the trim but you couldn't snap them on for nothing. I just got the OER trim for my Challenger trunk lid and it was perfect. Hate buying stuff that I wind up throwing out.
