Time to get moving on my 70'rt. What brand of hood and trunk lid is the best. Need solid answers please, experiences with venders are helpful as well. Not looking for the least expensive just the best. Thanks, John

Haven't bought a hood but I did just buy an AMD decklid. I've had poor luck with AMD on other stuff but I got the decklid on sale. After test fitting it, I was very pleasantly surprised. Another member here bought one and it fit poorly so not sure if his got mishandled in shipping or if their work is hit and miss. On other metal, I've had good results with all of the other major manufacturers.

A lot of us had recent bad experiences with Tamraz so might want to hit up a supporter of this site. I'll let others advise on the best companies to buy from.

Just noticed you are in So Cal...you might consider getting your stuff from Classic Industries. Because you are buying big heavy items, you will pay through the nose for shipping plus there's always risk of damage. Classic is probably two hours from you but it might be worth it. And you get to inspect it before buying it.

I've only used AMD and never had any issues... :dunno:

I shop around for deals and have used all brand that make repo parts. They all will most likely need work. Rockauto has alot deals just shipping sucks

If you live in California your best bet would be used OEM, none of the repo stuff compares. That's just the way it is.

Everyone says AMD but I must say, I've had fantastic luck with dynacorn. I bought quarters, hood, firewall, fenders, and inner fenders. Everything has been crisp and required little tweaking.

I've used lots of different items of sheet metal on my two cars and AMD has consistently caused me the most work. I just used Dynacorn for a roof skin and it fit like a glove. A little trim on the sides and it was perfect. I probably didn't spend more than 30 minutes fitting it.
