With everything getting canceled or messed up this year with car shows and cruises, I could see myself making the trek down to KY in September to check out this new Show Holley is sponsoring!  :burnout:

Brad... T/Anks for posting?  A long shot for me to attend... but I'd definitely enter the Autocross... and Speed, Steer, Stop events.

IF my car is running (new engine!) and has the bugs worked out, we'll go!

Maybe an excuse to visit my sister in Tennesee and stop by on the way.

It was a great show, lots to see, drag racing, auto cross, exhibitions, swap meet etc.  Weather perfect and everyone was raving about the show.  They already plan for this to be an annual show.  Be there in 2021!

We were set up in the swap meet area and were very pleased with the results with it being the first event that the FM3 Marketing firm, Holley and Beech Bend has put on for the Mopar group.  Everyone that we talked to felt that the show could easily triple in size for next year.

The venue itself has so much to offer.  The grounds are clean and laid out well to support the various activities.  There is an actual camp ground next door and plenty of lodging and food eateries less then eight miles from the complex.

The staff was very receptive to input and worked to get everyone into a location that worked for all.  We spoke to visitors to the show that had came out to support the show and had driven many miles to be there.  It was nice to hear people being positive and supportive of an event.

It was reported that Holley has a five year contract with the facility to host the event.  If we can get the Covid behind us and continue with a strong economic health, this show I feel could become an event with a national presence.  It could grow very quickly into one of the top three Mopar shows within the US.  For everything that they are working on and with the financial backing and planning, I feel that there is a very bright future for this event.

There were a number of people who traveled from out of state to attend the event, I came from the Chicago area and there were at least 8 or 10 people from my area there.  I saw plates from many other states, so this show is already on track to become a national show as opposed to a regional show.
I was impressed with the facilities, much nicer than the Mopar Nats location in OH!
It's hilly there, which presented a few challenges to us.  Maybe I am just used to being a flatlander?  But the show car trailer parking was a little awkward being in a very hilly area outside the entrance.  A single lane road with grassy areas, a bit tough to unload, and if it had been rainy prior to the show it might have been muddy there.  I'd suggest them finding a better area to unload, load and park rigs for show cars if they could, if there's room somewhere in the pits or elsewhere.  Also, much of the show car parking was hilly which would worry me a car could roll if if fell out of gear or parking brake wasn't set right.
Also, there were areas where there was a little dropoff or raised area of ground adjacent to the roads in the show car area, my friends with the green blown Charger scraped the exhaust on the pavement backing in to the grass one morning.  It is what it is, but for those who go in the future be careful of that.
Also, there was another show car area down adjacent to the exhibits which was a flat field.  Only a handful of cars parked there, most parked in the hilly area after you first enter.  In fact, there were personnel there the first morning directing parking and guiding the show cars into the hilly area near the entrance.  If I bring a car in the future I would try to park in the field near the exhibits.
I'd also recommend organizing the show cars some, maybe vintage in one area, newer cars another, trucks separate area too.
Those were my only minor complaints/suggestions.
Otherwise I liked every thing about the show.  Great time of the year when it isn't hot and humid like Carlisle and the Nats.  Great having both drag racing and autocross.  The drag strip was cool, it was the closest I have seen spectators can be to the racing of any dragstrip I've been to. Made for great photography and some of my clothes still smell like burnt rubber!  :burnout:
Nice town too, lots of good restaurants and just off I-65 so everything is fairly close by.

Always my pleasure to share my pictures with everyone!

That's member Mopar Mitch's Challenger T/A in the autocross.  He broke a leaf spring on his first run Saturday but had a great time Friday as it was his first time he'd run autocross in a few years after damaging the engine.
And the red AAR is Chet, Aar1064's car.
