I received an email stating Gate 5 Carlisle Armory Parking is permanently closed.  I'm a little lost, I've always parked at the Armory.  What parking options are available?  I've never tried yard or street parking, any idea what the average cost is?

- Gate 1: I don't see any nearby parking options?
- Gate 2: I see street and yard parking?
- Gate 3: I see a parking lot, street and yard parking?  Not sure if Parking lot is available?
- Gate 4: I don't see it on Google Maps?
- Gate 6: Shuttle to Cavalry Rd parking.  Doesn't sound like a fun option if you have large parts.
- Gate 7: It looks like the only option is yard parking?

Any suggestions appreciated

If you get up early, I've parked on the east side, in the area of homes and come in gate 7.
The west side has a large parking lot across from the school.

If you are planning on coming every day, and drive a Chrysler product, it is almost worth it to just get a swap spot and park in it...or put the minivan in the showfield!   :dunno:

It's been 6 years or so since I've had to park outside, but I always used Gate 7 as it is close right at the east side of the swap meet.  Plus you turn in sooner off Carlisle Pike.  I used to either park on the street for free if available, or the house closest to the gate parks cars in their backyard.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. Is that technically street parking or are you parking in a homeowners yard?  What time is 'early'? I usually try to arrive between 6:00 ~ 6:30 AM.  Any idea what homeowners charge to park on their property?
Thanks again for the info.

I vend so I haven't paid attention to parking at the Chrysler show.  I do go to the Spring/Fall swaps occasionally and have used private/home parking spots and the pay lot across from the school.  The pay lot is pretty large so I would think there will plenty spots available at 0630-0700.  Cost is $10 at the fall/spring events.  I imagine private homes charge somewhere in that same price range.  I wouldn't sweat it too much.  Agree that homes near Gate 7 may get you closest to the swap.
