A lot of misdirectioned money thrown into that car.  I think it can be a deal, if the body is solid.  I'd keep the motor in it and clean it up.. Yes the rims/tires would go first.

Agreed on the wheels / tires. But it is an interesting car and a hell of a starting point. My brother had an early Viper that had some work done to it by Hennesy, it was an absolute beast of a car, that V10 is a great power plant.

If I got my hands on that car I'd do the wiring / steering column, add a hydro boost setup to it and then ditch the wheels / tires for something more fitting to the vehicle. I'd probably go with Dakota Digital gauges and swap out the seats too.

But I don't need another project. If I get another car it will be a B or C Body rag top cruiser. Something like this:
