If the trunk and underside looks good, then I'd say that's a decent buy.

Glad the side stripes doesnt say "R/T" on them (no such thing in 1971).

Sideways pics annoying.  Uggh.

If it can be had for $40K, that's a great deal and a great candidate for a new HEMI  :)

Looks like a nice straight car and a convertible with AC! I would drive it as it is and maybe try to get it to go a little faster :D

Of course you could put a hemi in it and a 4 speed, maybe a 5 or 6 speed Tremic. Once you swap the motor you can do about anything! Just hang on to the original stuff! You will need to update the brakes with the elephant!
