A while back when Hemicuda convertible CLONES were bringing big bucks at auction...a lot of people jumped on the bandwagon, yanked the original motor and dumped a hemi in hoping to cash-in....the latest MCG talks about an original BS27H1B convertible that that was done to

Im doing mine but that's only because I bought the whole package in one buy...HEMI engine and 318 auto Gran Coupe basketcase in the ultra desirable  FK7 deep burnt orange with burnt orange interior.

Back in 2008, the previous owner commissioned a pro shop in Montreal to build the car that I own now.  He spent $185,000 on the build during the clone craze.  I don't recall the amounts at auction those cars were bringing but the PO must have thought the investment was in line.
