As you know when I originally posted this I was selling the Challenger to purchase my first Cuda from the person I sold it to some 43 years ago.  He's been very patient with me but the window is beginning to close.  That's why I'm reducing the Challenger to $50,000.00.  Let me know.

Up for sale is my 1971 Challenger convertible that I just completed the restoration.  It was a base 318 convertible but now has a fully rebuilt '69 340.  It never goes over 175 degrees and I live in South Florida.  I also converted it to a TKO600 5 speed.  It has been converted to a shaker car as you can see.  The rear is a Suregrip "489"case with 3:23 gears. TTI headers and TTI exhaust.  I restored the car the way I wanted so please don't tell me this or that isn't original.  It was a 318 car and I'm not claiming any originality.

All of the shaker components are new as is the hood and fenders. I also installed the US Car Tool inner fender braces. The lower quarters have been replaced as well as the floor.  The rear deck is new.  The gaps are perfect on this car.  It has custom billet hood hinges.  The paint is only a year old and was painted professionally in the modern plum crazy paint.  It's looks amazing. There is not a spec of rust on the car.  The K Member was powder coated and I put gussets in for strength around the P/S box.  It's also has sub frame connectors.  The convertible top goes up and down flawlessly and has new convertible cylinders and pump. The brakes are perfect and stop the car on a dime.

Some of the engine pics will be a little different because I've recently replaced the stock power steering bracket with a Borgeson bracket, and I've replaced the alternator brackets with a billet unit.  All to clean up the engine bay plus they make it very easy to adjust over the original brackets. There is the typical oil pan gasket leak.  I relocated the battery to the trunk for neatness. Installed is a new Bouchillon Performance Engineering A/C system.  It is all plumed and ready to go.  It just needs to be evacuated and charged.

In its restoration everything has been replaced.  New interior, dash, suspension.  if it couldn't be replaced with new then it was refurbished.  I've attached a file which lists everything that is new on the car. I'm sure I missed a lot but this is a comprehensive list.  It's written in the order that everything was put on the car.  Please ask if you have questions.

The factory color of the car was EL5 - Butterscotch. Car came equipped with Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Top, and Power Front Disc Brakes. The brakes are flawless.

The trim tag information is attached also.

I'm asking $55,000.  I'm in Boca Raton, Florida, 33431

Beautiful Challenger! If I was in the market for another car, I would be headed your way.

Looks great!  Love the PW and AC!

I woulda done a '71 Gull Wing in the back, but whatev.  Sure is purty, even though I'm biased with 70s (but I hate 70 Go Wings).

Pics of underside and trunk w/o the matt would help sell it.  DItto a walkaround/driving video.

I forgot to mention that the trunk floor has been replaced also.

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

Just an update.  I just added new axles and a new carrier with 3:73 gears.  All from Dr. Diff.  the new gears really add more pep to the Challenger.

Fortunately, the guy who is selling me my original car is being very patient and not forcing me for the money to buy it.
