Unless that color of carpet isn't available, why wouldn't you replace the carpet before selling? It's not like it takes much skill or money!

just curious - what happens when there is no one left to remember/care about the Mod Squad. I mean it is a nice car, but does the nostalgia bump to the price live on forever?

I think movie/TV show history is all over the place as far as it affects value.
The Bullitt Mustang that turned up brought 7 figures at auction.
A couple years ago there was a real cool V code Challenger convertible that was in an episode of Mod Squad that ran at Kissimmee Mecum a couple years ago, and it didn't get much attention at all.
I'm not sure if the Brady Bunch Barracuda convertible has ever turned up, but if it did I bet it would bring good money.
The Mannix cuda convertible was out and about 20 years ago, but has disappeared. Would it be a big dollar car?
A Rockford files Firebird was in my area but haven't seen it recently. I wonder what it's worth?
I've thought if I ever had the money and place to keep it, I'd aspire to finding a Dual Gaia.  Those often had a bunch of famous movie and music star province, does that add value or just the fact they are real rare and coachbuilt is why they are worth around a half mil?

hmmmm, I was just at the CPW Spring Fling show in Los Angeles this last week and ran into a couple that was telling me that there car was a Mod Squad car. It was a very nice red convertible. Apparently it was in some other TV shows, maybe Adam 12 and another I can't remember. Small world.

I wonder if this car has a JH27H1 Vin or the H2? (I didn't see a fender tag or vin)

The vin is listed, it's a 71.
They put a 72 grille and tailights on it for the 72 season. But the side markers are still 70-71 style.

It sure looks like the car was built by chrysler as a 72, we looked at this car wayyyyyy back in the 80's. We examined the tail light panel and trunk at length..
sure looked like factory work...
