Quote from: 704406 on December 23, 2024, 08:03:28 AMRzeroB if you saw pictures of my old Hemi Cuda in Sox and Martin paint that would have been from when it was in Beausejour when the original owner still had it before he died. The car came to Victoria bc in 1974 and was here in that paint scheme until I got it in 1989. I have posted some pictures of the car previously.

@704406: This is most likely your old car as well, still in factory paint.

JS23U Wow I've never seen that picture, I got a few pictures from the original owners mother but all the pictures I got were Sox and Martin paint scheme. I never knew if the original owner Stan ordered the Cuda or if it was a dealer order. It's fantastic to see the history of these cars thanks very much for posting it

@704406  Do you have any pics of it after you acquired it and without the Sox & Martin-ish paint job?? Thanks!
Cheers!

@RzeroB here's some pictures I dug up 1 is taken in front of the Tyndall garage I think, I got it from Stan's mother, the others are the day I got it, going in for media blasting and the finished Cuda

44 1970 HemiCuda's were reported as originally being sold through Canadian dealerships. These are your "Y07" Canadian-spec cars. Of those 44, at least 27 are known to still be around today in one form or another. But what about the other 17 that are missing and at large? What might have become of them and where might they be today? After 54 years, some of them have surely been wrecked, rusted-out, parted out and scrapped. Others were probably stripped, acid-dipped, raced and then retired to some corner of a long forgotten storage shed.

So are all of missing 17 gone forever? Probably not. I would think that a few of them are still out there ... somewhere. If you knew where one was hiding would you tell? Probably not. Usually the location of an elephant E-body is a closely guarded secret! However, what if one or more of these cars is still out there in plain sight not hiding from anybody? Take a look at these VINs. Maybe you have seen one of these missing cars? If it's not a secret, let us know and post it up.

Check out the graphic below. Note that 10 of the missing 17 were sold new around two of Canada's three largest population centers; the greater Toronto area (I'm including Barrie and Cobourg in that), and Vancouver. Then there's two in Quebec, one in Manitoba and four whose original point of sale is not known.

The one sold in Welland, Ontario, is alive and well in the Vaughan, Ontario

@RzeroB   Chryco is not Neal.  Chryco Psycho  is Neal.

Chryco sales the rubber bumpers and shaker stuff.
Neal is down in Panama I believe.  Panama right?

Although, I am not sure of Chryco's name.  I have yet to buy anything from him but do plan on a few purchases in the future.

That old photo popped up on facebook with no caption. The sponsor "Tyndall Garage" let me doing the math. Supported by the options from the fender tag it could only be the same car.

I came across this old pic of what was said to be a Canadian spec HemiCuda formerly owned by the late great Don Cloake. I don't recall exactly where Don called home, but from what I know it was somewhere in the greater Toronto area? Therefore, I can't help but wonder if this is one of the missing cars from Ontario?? Anyone know??
Cheers!

Would that be a B7 car?  It is beautiful!

Could any wheel be ordered with an R code car?
Would you be stuck with the 15" rims?

Yes, it does appear to be B7 Jamaica-Blue. I think it is an under-appreciated color. I personally like the depth and richness of B7 Jamaica-Blue!

For the Hemi cars, the standard wheel was the 15" steel wheels with the "poverty hubcaps". The only optional wheel was the 15" Rallye wheels.
Cheers!
