1970 Challenger SE Demonstrator - Question

Hi Everyone,

I know there were 875 1970 440-4BBL Challenger RT/SE built to spec for the US, 142 - 4 speed and 733 automatic.  Is there anyway to find out how many 70 Challenger Demonstrators were made out of this lot?.

No.

There is no code I know for "demonstrator"

And codes are only known per model line, ie JS = all R/T's

1970 Y05 USA spec'd dealer demos:
~685 * 'cuda hardtop BS23 (~4.1%)
~  27 * 'cuda convertible BS27 (~5.0%)
~711 * Challenger R/T hardtop JS23 (~5.2%)
~  64 * Challenger R/T convertible JS27 (~6.7%)
~490 * Challenger R/T SE formal hardtop JS29 (~13.1%)

~5.5% (~1,977) of the badged performance E-bodies (~35,622) started life as a "dealer demo"

as the price goes up, the frequency of being ordered as a "demo" increased, the Challenger R/T SE number is shocking  that's almost 1 out of every 7 built!!
