After I finished restoring my '70 'Cuda in 2018 I had a reproduction window sticker made that I've been displaying on the dash at car shows ever since; and I might add that I probably haven't read since. I was at a car show today and a spectator was reading the window sticker and asked me when I had swapped in the 440. I told him the 440 was OEM and he pointed to the window sticker where under BS23 it stated "383 4 BBL."  Catching me completely off guard I laughed and said I never noticed that, and he was the first person since 2018 that had seen that; and they must have made a mistake when they made the window sticker. We both had a good laugh, and I told him I'd have to have it re-made.  When I got home, I got to looking at it again and noticed about halfway down it lists "E86" "440 CID Engine 8 CYL 4 BBL TNT."  So my question is, was a 383 Standard equipment on a BS23 'Cuda and the E86 shows that I upgraded the engine, or did they make a mistake and list 383 instead of 440 under the BS23 specifications?

The 383 was the base engine for the 1970 cuda as it indicates in the 1st group. 340, 440-4v, 440-6v, & 426 were optional engines. The 340 was a no cost option.....Joe
