I was thinking the same thing about the floor pan to crossmember relationship and its possible interference with the shift rod. In mine, which is a converted automatic, I left the floor in place in that spot because it was welded flush to the crossmember.

On the trans mount spacers, I had to install mine on top of the mount to get the proper driveline angles, but my engine is also spaced up higher than stock as well.

Yeah, it appears when they welded this floor in, it did not get fitted the best.

Quote from: ebodyproducts on November 24, 2025, 11:30:23 AMIt's difficult to say from looking at the pictures, but it looks like the middle lever in the shifter mechanism is considerably longer than the outside lever.  Here is a  picture from Brewer's, both the outer and the middle are nearly the same (reference the holes).  That being said, the middle lever is slightly longer than the outer lever.
Here's the end view

From this picture, the left shift rod is hitting the floor brace as well.

That picture was taken after I had unhooked the front side of both shift rods, so the outer shift rod was resting on the panel also.

From this picture, the left shift rod is hitting the floor brace as well.
