I happened upon this while out shopping this evening.

Thoughts?

Interesting that they left off the stars and bars.

:)

The Bay Area lefties probably would key it if that flag was on the roof.

RUNCHARGER

It's a good idea. If I see another orange 69 Charger I'm gonna hurl.

I guess in our politically correct society, it's now illegal or at least immoral to display a confederate flag for entertainment. Must be akin to the nazi symbol.

Not sure I care for the car either. Bad enough so many old chargers have to be cloned into the general lee. It was cool back in the day but time to give that look a long due rest.

I never cared for the original, so.....

Might be an age thing. Belonging to the older generation I never really watched Dukes at all. Only saw a couple episodes because it had a mopar and to see a couple of jumps. I could see the younger kids growing up watching it and being more imprinted with the car and liking it.  I was influenced more by Vanishing point myself.

Doesn't do it for me either

I actually watched the dukes show regularly but I can't recall ever really loving the general lee look. Even as a kid, I thought it seemed a little weird.

The vanishing point car is cool but I just can't get into white vehicles unless they are offset with lots of black like vinyl tops along with black strips. Solid white anything just makes me think bread truck. Having said that, I'd proudly drive around the vanishing point car because it's like a blank canvas waiting for a great look but not sure I could hold my head very high driving a general lee. It's a styling idea that really missed the mark for me.

It would work for me if...

That stripe that runs over the roof wasn't there. There was actually a Confederate flag on the roof, but we can't do that these days or the PC people will be in an uproar.

Mopsquad

Loved the show, loved the car and still do.  I think the above car has carried the theme without offending the PC masses.  It's a novelty look that can get old for the owner, but it'll always get attention.

Daveh

Not a fan either.  It just doesn't fit.

I liked the look for the show. I agree with runcharger though. Toooo many at car shows. And to me, a Challenger will never be a 'General Lee'. I watched the show every week. Guess I'm one of the the 'young kids'..lol  I'm about to be 55.  ::)

And to 70 ChallengerLover....I agree whole heartedly....Here's mine....

....those parts you gave me are going on this car....thanks again!  :drinkingbud:
