Anyone recognize this part?

Sorry I know it is cryptic. Putting together a 1970 cuda convertible. This was in the box of parts. Any idea where it goes or what it does? The bolt in the picture is just for reference size, standard 5/16"  1/2 long bolt. The piece itself  is about 3" long, 3/4" wide

I don't recognize it, but suspect it has something to do with the convertible.

I have a vert and that piece doesn't look familiar. Is it power or manual top?

Power, It looks like it would be a movement stopper of some sort since it only has mounting on one side. like side glass or the top perhaps
