I am on my way to look at a bunch of carburetor cores. Mostly quadrajet and a few Holley. Is it worth buying a lot to try to resell them? Any tips or advice? TIA

I think you would have to know what they were originally from. Carbs from 60's - 70's muscle cars might have resale value, but if they from the late 70's or 80's forget.
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

Alan is dead on. You need to know what your are buying. I sold a Carter core for a 69 440 Auto for $ 250.00 last year.

Tough deal. No one wants "normal" cores these days but there could be a few really good number$ there. The guy may have picked through them already though.

I had quite a few of the generic Holleys around and tossed them up individually on eBay. I had no trouble getting $75 and up on vacuum versions and $200 and up on the double pumpers.

Shipping is a killer these days but one of these carbs fits well in a USPS large flat rate priority so you should be good.
