Not a fan of Chip Foose. He "tweaks" cars a bit and has an art eye, but it's not to my liking. His designs are too modern for muscle cars. And I think design is a little extreme. Carl Cameron designed the E bodies. Chip Foose rounded a window and pushed the tire around. LOL.

Chip is coming at it from 50 years of hindsight and with a modern perspective. I don't think his ideas match those of the period. He may not like them, but there are all within character of the time. I think much of his designs wouldn't have worked 50 years ago. His designs are neat, but not to my liking. They don't draw me in as a fan of the vehicle, only as an admirer of his talents. In other words I acknowledge he makes bad ass cars, but it isn't about the canvas. He could do the same thing to 1980 la barren and it would look cool but still wouldn't make me want one.

As for the door handles. I think that is so much better than any other muscle car I can think of. Camero and Mustangs, yeah right. A sharp corner in the rear glass? Really? That really offends you? LOL. I think it is a lot less offending than said shag carpet as a floor mat and some of his interior choices. Not sure what to say about Wheels. I'd have to argue about the long overhang. Yes the Ferrari had a long overhang, but the cuda? And if it does, I don't think moving the wheel a couple inches really changes that. From an engineering perspective, how does that affect the car stability and handling? Anyways I think he is off base a little. His cars are nice and some people will enjoy them, but I'm not into supper expensive customized cars. I like what the factory put out with some minor tweaks by the owner.

Just my two cents

Chryco Psycho

My favorite door handle from that period is the Javelin , it was flush & horizontal instead of vertical pull They don/t seem to break like the E body
If I was customizing today I would look at the Tesla design .

Well...he was one of the guys on the styling team under Bill Brownlie.

LOL, yeah, I knew something like this would come up since I don't know all the guys who designed and engineered the e bodies. Obviously it takes more than 1 person. But I think these guys truly designed and engineered them. Foose customizes, which involves design and sometimes engineering, but not at the same level. LOL

Great designer very very talented man .for me I like the door Handles a lot and the over all shape and design of the cuda  I am not a fan of two tone paint jobs  The only thing it would have been nice if the rally's hood scoops were  operatoral or open in some way .But for me how do you improve on such beauty,The e-body is just so far a head of the pack just MOP

I really like this car.  First impression was positive and wow!  The colour choice was a leap for a custom but it works for me along with the tail stripe.  The rims had to be that hue to keep that colour combo consistent and flow well.  Yes the '70 Cuda is the sexiest muscle car on the planet and Foose took it a parallel, not sexier, but lateral different take that works for me.

Mr Lee

I'm trying to think of something positive to say about the car.  ......   :D

I think the cuda and the Challenger are pretty damn near perfect the way they were designed.  If anything, I think the Challenger's front overhang is a little long.  Not the cuda's.
Everyones entitled to their own opinion.  I try to go by... if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything... but since you asked for opinions...

What's up with the bath mat?  How long does he expect that to stay fluffy?  I'm sure a lot of us have worn heel holes in floor mats at one point in our lives.  That fluff ball thing doesn't stand a chance.  And its not very manly looking... or practical

I can tolerate low profile tires on an old muscle car up to a point.  Those things are way to thin in my opinion.   Probably a harsh ride.
I might like the color better with some different rims.  Don't care for the rims.

The AAR hood and the Challenger's Rallye hood I think are the two most cool looking hoods ever designed in the history of the automobile.  Not crazy about the Foose hood there.

Overall... meh

The positive:
I never noticed the sharp corner in the C pillar area before.  I guess that was a good change he did.
It's probably fast and handles well : )  Seats look comfy... like they cradle you.  I like that.  So I'll end on that.
Remember, wherever you go, there you are.
