One of the mods on another Mopar forum is a career insurance adjustor and he often posts interesting insight into the industry when car insurance threads get posted there.  One thing he says time and time again, is that you can't get very solid insight by hearing what others post about whatever they are paying with various insurance companies due to all the variables.
It's frustrating though, I am still upset about a few years ago when I got my renewal from Hagerty and found it was going to increase over 40% for no reason I could think of.  At the same time other vintage car owners were saying their premiums with Hagerty were staying steady.  Why me??
Unless you have a twin living at the same address as you with identical cars and driving record etc you can't make any sense of insurance rates based on what others are paying.
I went with American Modern after Hagerty was going to jack me on rates, and from a premiums perspective I'm happy. To paraphrase the Matthew McConaughey character in Dazed and Confused "That's what I like about that insurance company, I get older, they stay the same price"  :D
Hope that doesn't change!
I do worry about them if I make a claim.  Hagerty has a reputation for satisfaction on claims.  I haven't heard much in the way of reports on how American Modern is though.  They apparently do a big business in insuring Mobile Homes though, and they have got a lot of complaints on how many of those kind of claims were handled.  :stop:
