My convertible top cylinders are in need of replacing. I would have thought that there really was only one manufacture for these but that does not seem to be the case. Prices range from $110 to $170 ea. I'm looking for the best value (price to performance). Anyone have specific thoughts on the differing manufacturers?  As a minimum I would like non-plastic for the top fitting.

I bought these from Hydro electric a couple months ago.   They have a good reputation and shipping was quick.  Price with tax and shipping was $212 for 2.

You can buy direct, but I think it was a little more pricey.   They have a couple different brands, also more money.

Installation was easier than I expected,  I changed out everything, lines and the motor.
