Hi, Am I right saying that a A66 Challenger would'nt have fender turn signal even if it was A01 Light package?

That's true for 70-71 R/T's - no fender signals with A01. I have a 71 R/T with A01.
I have not come across an explanation why Dodge did that.

Never thought about it possbily carrying over to A66 cars.
Anyone with an A66 Broadcast sheet that show L31 fender signals?

I'd heard the reason was that the raised hood profile with an R/T hood obstructs the driver's view of the passenger side hood mounted turn signal indicator.  I never saw any factory documentation on that, but it makes sense that blocked view of the feature could be an issue.

I heard it was because the right one couldn't be seen with the rallye hood scoop in the way.

That's what I've heard also. True or not, I don't know.

Didn't the first A66 cars come with a flat hood?  Then the R/T hood became part of the package.  The first A66 cars with the R/T hood had 340 hood decals...not emblems.  If that's the case then some A66s could have been equipped with the fender turn signals but the vast majority would not have been.

These is one person I know of that claimed he owned a flat hood original A66 Challenger.I have a file in the A66 Registry with no tag documentation. The RT hood was standard equipment from the the introduction of the A66 package that was made available in late September 1969.
Many people often confuse the 340 Challenger that Paul Goldsmith tested for a magazine (December 1969 issue) This was a 318 flat hood, test car converted to a 340 to check the feasibility of offering a 340 Challenger in August of 1969. The earliest A66 Challengers were not available at the start of 1970 Challenger production and were built starting in late September, early October 1969. L31 fender turn signals were clearly not available in an RT and A66 Challengers as stated above because of the bulge hood would hide the turn signal!
