Cleaning out some boxes in the garage to get better organized.
I came across a quart of lacquer paint from PPG labelled lemon twist.
I do remember purchasing this paint 30 years ago.

Can this be used for anything like interior, trunk or firewall?

Should I not trust this paint as it could fail?

Thanks.

Lacquer is out dated, no one has a mixing system for it anymore. I would not be surprised if it is still good if the can was sealed well. the only use i could see for it, is if someone had an original paint FY1 car that wanted to do some touch-up. as they would have done back in the day.  :alan2cents:

I wouldn't use lacquer on anything.

So, how do you really feel about that, Mike?

Be careful. Don't get caught drinking the Kool-Aid or believing the hype.

And yet some guys would love to have access to lacquer... Personally I never cared for it but I still love my Acrylic Enamel...
