A Guy recently bought a barn off a farmer in UK, before the deal went through he said 'what do you want to do with all this old stuff in the barn?" The farmer came over, had a look give me $8,000 for the stuff on top of the price of the barn, which he did.

A car was discovered when the new owner was clearing out all the old rubbish he'd bought. The guy wasn't into cars so called someone with a recovery truck that knew about old cars to take it away. The recovery guy saw the car and offered cash on the spot for it, which raised his suspicions. So they googled the name of it and saw the auction prices and realised it was worth a bit of money!

It's an original Hemi with 9000 miles of the clock and in great original condition.  4 speed, Dana, manual steering and non power drum brakes, no rally dash no console.  Never registered in the UK, last registered in 1976.

Here are some photos:

Looks like it used to be B5 blue. Incredible hemi find!!

New York state registration!!! so there would not have been a title issued. Expired August 1976, chances are any history is long deleted from the state records. WOW what a find!!!!  :lookatthat:  :wowzers:

Wow. Thank God someone knew what it was and it didn't end up getting crushed.

Wow- some people are just lucky. Love to see the VIN  and fender tag. New York Inspection sticker-wonder how it ended up buried in a barn in the UK--Stolen Car ??

Yep, it's real.  Original survivor car, vins match.  The car was found in Essex, a popular county for US cars.  It's recently been sold again and is now going somewhere abroad, who knows, maybe back to the US?

Hopefully it comes back home to New York   I'd love to check it out in person    :bigthumb:

Yes, hope it goes back to it's rightful place.

Just found this, so there were only 284 1970 Hemi Cuda 4 speeds and 368 autos ever made.  Never knew that, rare indeed.

Sitting in a bad that long, the valve covers are trashed, but the intake looks new...  :notsure:

There's been a little orange paint sprayed, look at the upper radiator hose....  Along with black spray paint all around the engine compartment.... And the fender tag is missing... Aftermarket tach & added gauge in the stock gauge bezel... Added electronic ignition... The shifter is hacked & considering how good the Hurst Pistol grips work I don't see why...  Plenty of stuff has been touched for a car with 9K miles on it... I wonder what the knob under the dash is (Timing control?), and the red button on the shifter (Nitrous?)...

Regardless very cool that it's coming out of the shadows, hopefully the new owner does the car justice..

Yes, looks like it's had quite a few mods, guessing the previous owner raced it.  There's no record if this car ever being used at UK drag stripes though, would have expected to have seen it at Santa Pod, so could have been raced in the US around the mid 70s.

Here's some more info on it from someone that's seen it:

It has headers fitted with a system ending at the axle with turndowns, there's a prop loop, engine is chained down and the shaker is attached with quick release fittings for rapid carb access. There is a Hurst line loc, Mallory rev limiter and Stewart warner Tach, oil and water temp gauges and a Hurst super shifter and a big old chrome fire extinguisher.

is it a black car with a replaced (formerly blue) hood - or was it originally a blue 'hemi'cuda?

There's also blue poking out on the right inner fender...
