:Thud:  I guess good luck to him? :dunno:  I know flipping is part of the hobby, but I like to see guys that want to do the restoration get a good start.  That new price is going to make it really hard for someone to ever get that car back on the road.  :'(

Hopefully, nobody will bite and this jam artist won't get to double his money at someone else's expense. Flipping may be part of the hobby, but it's one that leaves a bad taste in your mouth, that's for sure!

It's a cash deal this weekend only.

I'm sure someone is running there to pick up that pig.

For 15K you would think they could have at least put a picture of the fender tag.

Nothing wrong with trying to make a buck but almost doubling the price?

I don't really have a problem with this....I don't think guys like this are setting the price of the market.....he's trying to sell it for what he thinks is market value, whereas the first guy didn't really do his research...The market value is what it is.

HOWEVER....I can't see it selling for much more than the first asking price, so the flipper will be sitting on it a long time in my opinion. :alan2cents:

Yes: I suppose flippers aren't the problem. The people that might be silly enough to overpay are the problem. It's just I hate to see cars out of circulation when good people are looking for projects and can't find them.

With all due respect, I disagree. If you're dying of thirst and the guy who bought the bottles of water for 25 cents now demands $25, it's scarcely your fault that you have to pay that gouging price to assuage that thirst. Think how many more people would be involved and enjoying this hobby if it weren't for people like that guy? They make me want to  :barf:

Water is a necessity though whereas cars are a want. I agree though that guys like this do keep some out of the hobby. That car would make you upside if you got it for free anyway.

The craigslist add is gone. I was looking at this car on "carsonline". I'm interested but can someone tell me what the original add states? Carsonline lists it now for $8000.00. Thanks

I think it was less then half what he was asking.

Are you looking for a project?  Any certain years or style of project that interests you?

And Welcome to the site @whitsend    :welcome:

Hi Cody,

I'm looking but not sure I'm ready to buy financially. At this time I would be looking for a project as I cannot afford a completed car. My thoughts are to do a restomod so I don't really care about the drive line. I did a complete rotisserie resto of a 71 Cuda' years ago. So I understand what it takes to do one and there are so many more parts on the market today that were not available then. I love the look of the Cuda'. In my humble opinion it is the baddest looking muscle car of all time. I sold my 71 back in 2004 to N9671X2 on the Cuda-Challenger site. It was a really cool Winchester Gray with white interior 340 4spd. And I have missed the car ever since selling it. Preferably I would get a 1970 but would not be opposed to a later model. 71's are just to pricey these days. I currently have a 71 Chally Vert needing resto but will wait until I retire to do the resto on that car.  Well... enough mumbling on my part. Thanks for the reply and the welcoming to this site.  :handshake: Best regards,

:wowzers:  I remember your old car.  LOVE Winchester Gray on a 71 Cuda.   :drooling:

I spent 7 years on that car off and on.I can't take credit for the paint and body but I did everything else. It turned out very nice. Paul added a rear wing, driving lights and darkened up the grill. He had it almost a year and someone offered him crazy money for it so he sold it. That new owner had an article about it in Muscle Car Review. As far as I know someone in Australia bought the car and it now resides overseas.  :burnout:
