hood latch

a while back they made cuda reproduction hood latches, they advertised them for 1979 to 1974, some places are still advertising them that way but due to the high number being returned because they didn't fit most of the places that sell these changed their ads to 1970 only. seeing I couldn't find a used one for a 1971 at a decent price I figured id buy the 1970 latch and see how different it is from the 71, if your not worried about originality it doesn't take much to modify the latch, it just needed to be re bent and a small piece welded on to extend it, it works perfect and fits right at the top of the grill out of site.
