Hi, I am rebuilding my original Hurst 4 spd shifter assembly, and I have looked around and can't seem to find out what the original finish was on the Hurst Comp+ shifter assembly for my 72 E-body? The re-pops are generally a black oxide finish,  is that correct? Also my assembly does not have adjustment bolts on the housing like the repop ones do? Did they add those later? Thanks.

The 1970 E-Body 4 speeds had a different shifter than the 71 to 74.  One bolts in and the other slides in.

The Adjustable stopper bolts were never on a factory installed shifter.  :alan2cents: I think black would be correct.
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....
