OK....I'm trying to put on my column lock torque shaft Z bar and I don't think I have the correct version.
I have automatic with floor console. Looking at the manual it appears the U shape on the shaft needs to be closer to the transmission.
What one do I have? Does anyone have the correct one? Thanks, Mark

The U shape notch is to clear the exhaust, right?

That one in the above picture is for an Automatic, it goes under the exhaust. The four speed one goes over the exhaust.
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

Your picture looks different them mine. Mine is correct for a 440/727 set up. Keep in mind a 318/904 set up would be different I believe. There are probably a few different ones. :alan2cents:

I have a 440 w/ the 727
Yes yours  looks like the U shape to clear the exhaust is closer to the transmission.
That's what I was afraid of.
Anyone have the correct one?
