Most cost effective method to increaswe vacuum for power brakes

The one thing you didn't mention is that a canister only holds the pressure the motor can produce. For example a motor only pulling 10" of vacuum would give the same pressure but more reserve.

Hence folks opt for the hydra boost because you are then dealing with power steering pressures of over 1000 psi which had no reserve problems.

The canister works great for the money. There is a downside. If you are in slow traffic pumping the brake off and on you will run out of vacuum. You have to be cruising to build it up. Average driving it works fine. You get about 3 pumps and then your done. I guess the size of the booster could effect how many times at a stop you would get also.

The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten. Save up your money and do it once.  Disc brakes and if you will be running big cams a hydroboost conversion.  Safety first.
