Stupid F`ing appraiser!!!!!!!  :headbang: It`s bad enough I had a fire but just got the appraisal and the idiot missed a crapload of stuff! I stood there and pointed out numerous items none of which he included, he took a bunch of pics but never even pulled out  a pen to write anything down. I did bodywork for a living and some appraising and always had a sheet to write everything down as you are going over the damage, now I have to contact the adjuster again, which has been a challenge, and add a bunch of stuff to the list and wait longer! F`ing pissed off !!!!!!!  :pullinghair:  The good news is wrapped up some burnty ires and put on some new fuel hose and fired it up for a second so at least it runs.

Well you could ask for an insurance rep to step in, save all receipts, old parts, and take lots of pictures.  Can you say SUPPLEMENT!!!

torredcuda

A supplement isn`t a problem it just really pisses me off when I TOLD him all the damage I saw and he didn`t list it on his estimate, that`s just crap, careless work IMO! In some defense of Hagerty they sub out but still they will hear about it.

List of things he missed -
Grill
battery
engine wiring harness
headlight wiring harness
evap cannister
overflow tank (aftermarket)
hood lip seal
radiator support repair and repaint
lower rad hose
spark plug wires
heater hose bracket
sway bar bushing (polyurethane)
power sterring belt
heater hoses
remove fender, header nd valance to paint inner fender correctly
right rubber brake hose
tire? (took some heat)

I know not everyone likes being told, but maybe provide him this list.  If you approach it in a "helping" way, and you go through it with him you never know. Plus, at this point what do you have to lose?

Sorry to hear you're going through all this BS with the appraiser. I can't imagine how annoying and frustrating this ordeal must be. It's tough, but you got to stay cool, calm and collected, remember cordodge and his motor dilemma.

cuda hunter

You can request a new and different appraiser.

I've had to do this for several homes in the past when I got idiots.

Sorry to hear about your fire torredcuda! :crying:
Is your repair plan to do the work yourself and have the insurance company reimburse?

torredcuda

I e-mailed the appraiser and Hagerty with my list and frustration with an incompetent appraiser along with a call to the claims dept telling them the adjuster needs to contact me ASAP Thursday morning so we can resolve this. It`s been 3 1/2 weeks now and I don`t even have an appraisal yet! I am usually a pretty nice, patient guy but I`m done with this crap.
