Weather is still hot and we are having multiple wildfires around the Bay Area. The ones in San Mateo County and Santa Cruz are close to me. The air quality is bad and you can't open the windows due to the smoke and particles in the air. So I am sweating in the house since I have no AC. Cars on the streets are covered with a fine layer of white ashes. Hope the members around the area are ok and stay safe. Need the wind to blow out to the ocean.

My quest to drive further south this weekend down 35 and hit 9 will have to wait now.

CA is bad this time of year for that. I remember driving down Highway 4 headed towards Concord many years ago and some idiot in front of me flipped a cigarette into the median, which was nothing but dry grass because it was the summer. On my way back, a little while later, the fire dept. was out there putting out a fire, not sure if it was due to the same guy but most likely it was. Be safe.

In looking, at the map. the evacuation zone is a few miles away and getting closer. I may take my 'cuda down to a friends shop, for safekeeping. It'll be one less thing to worry about.

That's the safe play, be careful! Lots of ash on my cars this morning as well.

Yeah, over in the Roseville/Sacramento area, we're getting smoke and ash too.  Not good when it's 100+ outside.  Be safe guys.

Throw that in with the rolling black outs created by the people running the state by closing down the natural gas power plants and it's the new normal out here

Air improved a lot today near Niles.

There's been a fire in American Canyon near me as well.

Air quality much better today - index down to 16 from 164 yesterday!  Windows wide open now.  Good day for a drive!  Stay safe everyone.

SoCal is sucking down here as well...
You got them from lightening strikes. We have them from vagrants trying to burn their neighbors out...
Life is to be viewed thru the windshield. Not rear view mirror.
You are the only one in charge of your destiny.

Yesterday we couldn't see the sun all day, the sky was orange/brown... Today we see the sun but it smells heavily of smoke... Not gonna be opening the house today at all....

Size of the San Mateo and Santa Cruz fires are now doubled in size and more mandatory evacuation. Hopefully they can contain the fires soon and save the homes and redwoods. Wind died down from yesterday evening.

Can't see Mt. Diablo from here in Clayton, and were just a few miles away from it!

I feel bad for you guys, that sure would suck!

Strong wind started this afternoon and is howling now. Not helping the fire fighting effort. Videos popping up on the news where people are driving through the fires with both sides of the roads burning, gates to properties burning up. This is terrible.
