It's nice to know the original tag matches the reproduction. My customer with the black V code has done the same thing keeping the original in a safety deposit box.

Great car  :drooling:

Are we certain that the original tag is not just a bad photo and that those are not the same tag?  Nothing is changed or made up so it's good to know it's a real Shaker Cuda.  But don't both the "B"s on the tag look lightly stamped just like the top photo? :dunno:  Either way, all the codes are real and that's a super cool Cuda.   :inlove:

in the Southern Motors video - they show the original tag in the trunk, the pic above is a screenshot of the video

at a minimum, there's a rust? hole above the "V6X" in the bagged original

Very nice Cuda! Welcome to this great forum.

Wow that's a great looking car!  Southern Motors is about an hour from me and I have never been there.  I'm also told that one of the managers has the same name as I do . . . go figure.  Welcome from Michigan!   Glad you signed up!

Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

  VERY NICE RIDE
you guys are spending way to much time with this cars fender tag under your microscope.

@Cuda Cody
They must be really making those repops look like originals. I saw the dull B and that threw me off. They keep that type of stuff up and it's going to be impossible tell fakes from original. I did notice it was lacking the bent corner look but figured somebody straightened that out.

Cuda Cody

A little bend on the corner and that tag would be very hard to tell from an original.   :yes:

from a distance all "WE" can do is qualify & quantify what $60K buys today - a real fender tag as proof of an original factory '70 340 SHAKER 'cuda helps to justify that price (you don't have to take your shoes off to account for all of them)

at the extreme - if it doesn't matter, why aren't clone hemi'cuda convertibles 7-figure cars?

Would you like to spend $60K+ on a car to find out the tag was made up from thin air ? I'm glad there's guys around that can verify the originality of the cars we love.
