My first guess was going to be contacting the latch pin on the hood, but knowing you've been working  on the wiring on Miss Nikki, I'm going to guess the edge of a ground strap bit your head while coming out from under the dash.

I'm often wearing a baseball cap when I stick my noggin under the hood, so when I scrape the safety latch I get a scratch or small bruise instead of drawing blood! :tool:

Altho there were several winners here!!! (cause 99% of us have been there) The brain matter hook made me laff!!  :rofl:  Ya I think Miss NIKKI got even with me for ignoring her for 2 years...............
