Art`s Moparts cruise and Rick`s party yesterday June 3rd. It was a nice morning with some clouds, sort of a light turnout this year with only 6 cars, we usually have 10-15. We started at Hampton Beach and headed west. Nice ride and uneventfull till a gas stop when Harrys cuda wouldn`t start but a quick wiggle of the starter wires did the trick. Next stop was Rick`s but then it was my cudas turn as with no warning I couldn`t get into any gear (4 spd). I pulled over and everything looked OK and would go into gear when the engine was off but not when running. Plan was to make it to Rick`s in just third gear which worked fine. Once we got there one of the guys climbed under the car and started playing with the shift rods and got it fixed, turned out to be stuck partially in two gears. Had a good time hanging and checking out all the Mopars at Rick`s and then headed home late afternoon. Made it home with no problems but when trying to re-start the car to pull inot garage the clutch was sticking, I guess it`s time to do that transmission rebuild along with a new clutch etc. as they have been in the car for 20+ years with lot`s of drag strip abuse so it was overdue.

Great area for a Mopar gathering, Hampton Beach N.H. It's about 50 miles from my hometown of Nashua, N.H. Out N.H. 101. Beautiful N.H. Sea coast.     Thanks,   Al

Hampton Beach ... spent many night in early 80's cruising that!

One early Spring day that was unusually hot, it took 3 hours to make one loop ... people were running out of gas ..  :haha:

Ya cruising the strip in Hampton can be slow going, the cuda never overheats but crawling along for two hours with the 4 speed gets old even with all the girls in bikinis walking by!  :lookatthat:
