I know the Rallye hood on my 1970 cuda isn't the original. I would like to see if I can ID the year. There's a stamp number on the side edge towards the LH front, 481w238. Does those numbers mean anything? Thank you, Joe

crumple zone hood or not a crumple zone?
What is your SPD?

Has crumple zone. Has 3 holes for "Plymouth" emblem. Didn't have engine emblems or hood pins. No fender tag...Joe

If you can post a photo of the underside of the hood that will make it easier to ID the year.  As Cuda Hunter said, if no crumple zone then it's most likely a 1971+ hood.

I'm no parts officianado.  So please dont quote me on this.

No hood pins would be a BH or BP hood.  Not a BS hood.   Is your car a BS?

Not an early hood.  What is your SPD on your door sticker?

Also, I don't think that 70's had the 3 hole front plymouth emblem.

#5
Cuda hoods through 72 would have emblems callout holes.
73-4 optonal on a bh will have 3/8 thread 9/16" head bolts

@Mr.Cuda   Are you saying "cuda" "BS" 70-72 had the holes for the plymouth emblem?                  Not, BH or BP ?

I forgot that the 73=74 hoods had different size bolt holes.

Engine callout, not plymouth.

The car is a BS23. Hood has the larger hinge bolts so I'm guessing the hood is 1973 or 1974. The last 6 of the VIN is 192190 which should be November 1969? Cuda Cody, I'm buying a new camera after Christmas so I can provide better pictures....Joe

What is the date code on your hood latch?
I know that can be easily changed but that might help with the mystery.

3168 or 3169. The bottom part of the last number wasn't struck very hard....Joe
