Thanks for posting the photos.

255/70/15s look monsters!  That's a proper stance.  That might be the way to go.

The tires are about 29" tall so plan on changing the speedometer gear in the transmission.  I think it's off about 7-8 mph at highway speed.  It does help keep the revs down on the highway but affects the launch with my 3.55 gears.  Those are stock springs.  I'm surprised they don't sag more but even when it had the 14" wheels on, it sat level.  Might be those stiff KYB shocks helping.

Hoping someone can help, do you need air shocks to run 255/70/15s on the rear of an E-Body?  I've been told by our local tyre supplier they will rub otherwise and ground out over bumps.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Ebodys can hold much larger/wider tires than what you stated without issue. Main item is to have correct mounting offset on rim. I currently run 275/60/15s on 8.5 wide rim with plenty of room to spare.

Air shocks will ruin the shock mounting crossmember. It is not structured to hold all weight of car.
Pic added for visual.

Thanks for the information.  Yes didn't want to use air shocks, heard many bad stories.
