The fender tag is basic info. The actual build sheet tells you what really happened.
Restoring using only a fender tag will give you very limited/general info. Details were on the build sheets.
And 1974 being the last year of production, the factory was using up parts that were in inventory so you can also have mixed bag of accessory parts.
If the fender tag told you everything, you wouldn't need a build sheet to build the car.


1974 was unique mostly under the hood.

All cars regardless of make were undergoing lots of Government mandated changes to safety standards/equipment as well as mpg and emissions.
Such as 5 mpg bumpers and lower compression, NOX devices etc...
Most of them took effect mid 1972. So each year after that had continuing changes.
